Tantra V

Please read this note carefully.

Access to this material is restricted only to those who are physically present at the Tantra V teachings at DMU during the winter term; if you receive this teaching as a DMU extension course, you and your teacher are responsible for making recordings to which you can refer in the future.

Please be aware that if you are teaching this class, you are forbidden by your Lama to give your students copies of this audio. Because of this, it is very important that you or your students arrange to make recordings of the teachings that you give to them, so that they will have something to refer to later. Please don't think it's egotistical to record what you teach - it's all they will have other than their notes and their recollection.

To register for access to the audio here, please visit the registration page (https://www.dmes.org/registrar/newUser.php). You only need to register once. Registration just creates a username and password for the web site - in order to access the material you need to be on the access list.

If you click on the Tantra V link below in Internet Explorer and you get a message that says "this page cannot be displayed" it's because Internet Explorer has a bug in its implementation of the security layer that we use to prevent open access to these teachings. You have two choices. My personal recommendation is that you download a copy of Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org). This will take a little while, but you'll have a lot less hassles accessing this web site and other similar sites, and it's got a lot of nice anti-spyware and anti-popup features that you may find enjoyable as you surf the Internet.

If you do not want to have to download Firefox, you can use Explorer (at least in Windows XP). What you need to do is to go to Tools->Network Preferences, click on the Advanced tab, scroll down to the bottom of the list, and click to enable TLS 1.0. After you've done this you should be able to get in without a problem.

If you are running the new Internet Explorer version 7 beta, you don't need to enable TLS 1.0 - it's enabled by default. I'm pretty impressed with IE7 so far; although I don't really recommend installing it if you're not the adventurous type (since it wipes out your IE 6 install), it is one route to go for those who are not faint of heart. Personally I'm not looking back - they've done a nice job, even if the wiki doesn't render quite right yet.

If you don't remember your password, you need to get a password reset. We won't send your password to you by email. We will try to be responsive in doing password resets. After you get a password reset, you need to reregister (http://www.dmes.org/registrar/). You need to register under the email address that you used when you registered for this term. If your email address has changed, please talk to Bets to get help. Please be aware that if you use upper and lower case when you register your password, you need to type your password in the same way when you log in. Your email address must be in lowercase, because that's how it is in the access database. The access database is produced when you sign in during class, so please remember to sign in during class.
